UK 2022 Update 1

Jed and I have now been in the UK a month and it has flown by! It has been a sweet time of refreshing, reconnecting, gatherings of prayer and worship for the nation, and times of ministry.

On Sept 11, 2008 we came to the UK not knowing all that the Lord had in store for us. It is a blessing to be back 14 years later (to the day!) and to have the opportunity to fellowship and catch up with old friends that we have not see in a long time. After a busy season in business, ministry, and family life in the US, these first few weeks have been a refreshing and renewing gift. Yes, there have been times of ministry, preaching, teaching, and praying/worshipping with brothers and sisters, we simply did not know how much we needed to decompress, recharge, and catch our breath together.

We have had the opportunity to travel all over the country already. We initially arrived in Yorkshire where Nicole got to go to the bridal show in Harrogate for Freedom Veils and Jed got to fly in a small aircraft with our good friend Nick. We have been to South Devon and Dorset prayer gatherings, stayed in the New Forest for a couple weeks with our friends Mike and Carole (who welcomed us to the UK 14 years ago!) and visited Winchester, and we also went up to Oxford to visit with our friends Len and Julie who took us up into the Cotswolds as well.

In addition, we have had the opportunity to preach at a local church, lead worship a couple times, share with a young adult group, and lead devotionals throughout the Feast of Tabernacles. One other surprise has been some divine appointments with friends from the USA who "happened" to be here during this time. It has been a blessing and we are looking forward to the next stretch of the journey!

We head to Barnstaple in North Devon next week where we will get to reconnect with several of those who initially started the HOP with us, moved overseas and are back in this season. We sense the Lord's purpose in that and are looking forward to being with them and others. We will also be heading to Torquay and into Cornwall for some ministry assignments as well. In addition, it seems the Lord is confirming to go to Israel in early Dec to serve at a conference put on by Israel First Fruits, who we have journeyed with for years. Nicole is serving as a mentor and we will also look to connect with the Fields of Wheat team while we are there.
